MARION REEVES ANDERSON, LPC

Marion Reeves Anderson is a counselor at Vive Greenville who specializes in working with eating disorders and body image concerns. Marion received her Master’s of Education and Education Specialist degrees in Counselor Education: Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Clemson University. Prior to graduate school, she completed her bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Clemson University. Marion gained clinical experience in graduate school through being a part of the counseling center at Anderson University, working with college students dealing with a variety of stressors. Marion also completed an internship at Carolina Center for Behavioral Health, primarily working on the senior adult unit, while also assisting on the adolescent unit and crisis unit.

After graduation, Marion moved to Northern Virginia where she most recently worked in an eating disorder treatment center, providing individual, group, and family therapy to those struggling with a variety of eating disorders at the Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization levels of care. Marion is passionate about working with clients on developing a positive body image, increasing self-esteem, maintaining a balanced lifestyle, and finding freedom from the lies that they may have learned about food or their body. In addition to eating disorders, Marion also enjoys working with anxiety, depression, and adjustment to different transitions in life. She loves working with individuals across the lifespan, ranging from adolescents to older adults, and seeks to create a space where her clients feel seen and heard and can be the most authentic version of themselves possible.

Marion is excited to be back in Greenville and to be a part of the Vive team, helping individuals find freedom and new ways of coping with whatever it is that brought them through the doors of our building.

In her free time, Marion enjoys running, watching Clemson sports, reading, and spending time with her family and her husband.
