ASHLEY ATWOOD, LPC-A

Ashley Atwood was born and raised in Easley, South Carolina. She attended Clemson University and received her undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Athletic Leadership while she simultaneously worked as a competitive gymnastics coach. She obtained her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. During this time, she worked at Vive as a psychometrist, administering assessments to children and adults looking to better understand their cognitive, academic, emotional, and/or behavioral strengths and weaknesses. Additionally, Ashley completed her clinical training working with adults struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, adjustment, grief, parenting training, and poor body image. She has also worked with children ages 5 and up dealing with behavioral concerns, trauma, anxiety, and depression.

Ashley works mostly with children, adolescents, and adults who struggle with either a history of trauma or significant anxiety. She strives to come alongside clients in furthering their understanding of their own experiences and developing a path forward toward healing and growth. Ashley is also skilled in working with children and adults with ADHD, depression, and adjustment challenges, as well as providing skills training for individuals with mild Autism Spectrum Disorder. Her goal as a therapist is for clients to feel heard, validated, and hopeful in their circumstances.

In her free time, Ashley enjoys serving as an acro coach at a local dance studio, visiting the beach or lake, and spending time with her husband, Hunter, and their dog, Charley.
