ANNA BAKER, PH.D.

Dr. Baker completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in anxiety disorders from Louisiana State University. Prior to her doctoral training, Dr. Baker, completed her undergraduate studies in psychology at the University of Florida and received a master’s degree in psychology from New York University. Dr. Baker completed a clinical internship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center/Sonny Montgomery VA and received training during both her doctoral work and internship in evidence-based child/adolescent assessment and treatment, as well as evidence-based treatment of adult anxiety, depression, and substance use disorders in both individual and group formats. She specialized in pediatric disorders comorbid with chronic health conditions and has done inpatient treatment, as well as consult and liaison services. After her internship, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine specializing in adherence. She was an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Bucknell University for 6 years before accepting her current position as an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Clemson University. Dr. Baker has extensive research experience in both pediatric and adult populations with a particular focus on behavioral medicine and health psychology. Her work focuses on the dissemination and implementation of evidence-based assessments and treatments in the community and in healthcare systems.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, going to sporting events, and exploring the Clemson-Greenville area.
