ASSESSMENT SERVICES
Holistic evaluations to provide answers.
A psychoeducational assessment is often the best way to evaluate for concerns such as ADHD, learning disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and processing difficulties. Our holistic testing process gives a comprehensive picture of our client’s current functioning.
Our evaluations include measuring cognitive ability, academic achievement, attention factors, emotional regulation and behavior patterns. We work with children and adults to assess unique challenges and help develop a roadmap for achieving short-term and long-term goals.
Undergoing an assessment is similar to taking part in any type of diagnostic testing. Our team of psychologists and psychometrists administer numerous tests, analyze the results, and then provide recommendations and resources for next steps.

Career Assessments
Our psychoeducational assessment process starts with an initial intake session (parent only for minors). During this session, the testing clinician will gather relevant educational and/or developmental information. If you have completed previous testing, the clinician may look it over to determine if the results are applicable to this assessment. Based on this session, the clinician will determine the types of tests that will best serve your need, which will determine approximately how many hours of testing will be needed.
A full evaluation often requires six or more hours of testing scheduled over several sessions. After testing is completed time is needed to score, interpret results and finalize the report with appropriate resources. The entire process may take 6 weeks or longer to complete.

Information regarding insurance:
Insurance may not cover testing if your insurance company considers it to be educational rather than behavioral. It is beneficial to call your insurance company and ask what your out-of-network benefits are for psychological testing. If there are pre-authorization requirements, please allow a minimum of 3 weeks for this process before initial appointment. If services are not covered, the expense may go towards your yearly deductible amount.
